Publication Ethics

AFIYATUN – Journal of Health Sciences is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures to prevent any publication malpractice. This statement outlines the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the publication process: the author, the editor-in-chief, the editorial board, the peer reviewers, and the publisher.

1. Duties of Authors

  • Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original, have not been published elsewhere, and are not under consideration by another journal.

  • All sources and references must be properly cited.

  • Plagiarism in any form constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.

  • Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

  • All listed authors should have made a significant contribution to the research and writing of the manuscript.

  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy of the data presented and must be prepared to provide raw data for editorial review if requested.

2. Duties of Editors

  • Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based on the manuscript’s academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

  • Editors must ensure a fair, unbiased, and timely peer-review process.

  • Editors must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial board, and the publisher.

  • Editors must take appropriate action if ethical complaints have been presented concerning a submitted or published manuscript.

3. Duties of Reviewers

  • Reviewers must conduct reviews objectively and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of the manuscript.

  • Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding the manuscript.

  • Reviewers should notify the editor of any potential conflict of interest or if they feel unqualified to review the manuscript.

  • Reviewers must identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.

4. Duties of the Publisher

  • The publisher (PT. Edukasi Ahmad Kirang) is committed to ensuring that publishing processes are conducted in an ethical and professional manner.

  • The publisher works closely with editors and authors to handle ethical issues and ensure the integrity of the academic record.

Plagiarism and Misconduct Policy

All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using appropriate software. Manuscripts found to contain significant plagiarism will be rejected immediately. If plagiarism is discovered after publication, the article may be retracted and appropriate action will be taken.
