Pemeriksaan Kadar Asam Urat sebagai Upaya Deteksi Dini Hiperurisemia dan Edukasi Pencegahan Komplikasi pada Masyarakat

Hiperurisemia merupakan kondisi peningkatan kadar asam urat dalam darah yang berpotensi berkembang menjadi gout arthritis serta berhubungan dengan berbagai penyakit metabolik dan kardiovaskular. Pemeriksaan kadar asam urat secara rutin belum menjadi kebiasaan di masyarakat, sehingga deteksi dini dan edukasi kesehatan perlu ditingkatkan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melakukan skrining kadar asam urat serta memberikan edukasi mengenai faktor risiko dan pencegahan hiperurisemia. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif melalui pemeriksaan darah kapiler menggunakan alat Point of Care Testing (POCT), dengan analisis distribusi berdasarkan jenis kelamin, kelompok usia, dan kategori kadar asam urat. Sebanyak 38 peserta mengikuti kegiatan ini, dengan 31,58% teridentifikasi mengalami hiperurisemia dan 68,42% berada dalam kategori normal. Proporsi hiperurisemia sedikit lebih tinggi pada laki-laki (33,33%) dibandingkan perempuan (31,03%), serta meningkat signifikan pada kelompok usia ≥50 tahun (50,00%). Temuan ini menunjukkan kecenderungan peningkatan risiko hiperurisemia pada usia lanjut dan menegaskan pentingnya skrining serta edukasi pola hidup sehat sebagai strategi promotif dan preventif dalam mendukung kesehatan masyarakat.
