Caesarean section (CS) is a surgical delivery procedure in which the foetus is delivered through an incision in the mother's abdominal wall and uterus. Caesarean section delivery causes more pain than normal delivery. To manage this pain, appropriate management is necessary to help patients control the pain they feel. Non-pharmacological interventions can be used as pain control methods, one of which is foot massage therapy. This application aims to manage pain levels in post-SC patients in the Maryam Room at RSIA ANNISA Pekanbaru. The implementation method is based on Evidence-Based Practice (EBP). This intervention was conducted on two post-cesarean section patients with moderate pain (scale 4-6) once daily for 15 minutes over three days. Before and after the treatment, the researchers measured the patients' pain levels using a Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). The indicators assessed were pain complaints, grimacing, restlessness, difficulty sleeping, nausea, blood pressure, pulse rate and respiration. After three days of foot massage, Mrs F's pain level decreased from a score of 5 (moderate pain) to a score of 2 (mild pain), while Mrs N's pain level decreased from a score of 4 (moderate pain) to a score of 1 (mild pain). This shows that foot massage therapy can reduce pain levels in patients after caesarean section. Therefore, foot massage therapy can be an alternative treatment that patients can perform independently. Nurses can include foot massage therapy as one of the nursing interventions for patients after a caesarean section.
